Cheesecake Factory buns answer perimeter innovation whitespace

HORSHAM, PA — Bimbo Bakehouse is expanding its retail bakery line with the launch of two new The Cheesecake Factory At Home products. The additions include “Brown Bread” Slider Buns and Bakery Buns, both of which deliver the signature sweet wheat taste and hearty texture.

The Bakery Buns are available in a 4-count package, ideal for burgers and sandwiches, while the 12-count Slider Buns are sized for mini sandwiches and sliders.

“We know guests of The Cheesecake Factory love the signature ‘Brown Bread’, and the new Slider Buns and Bakery Buns offer fans delicious high-quality options for those nights when dining out isn’t possible,” said Dana Strain, senior marketing manager for Bimbo Bakehouse. “While nothing can replace the experience of a meal at The Cheesecake Factory, our products help make celebrations at home feel just as special.”

According to Bimbo Bakehouse, the perimeter buns and rolls segment has seen strong growth, increasing 37% in the last five years. Yet, with the category climb, there remains whitespace to innovate for sweet wheat buns. The Cheesecake Factory At Home line captures the rising trend and appeals to millennial and Gen X shoppers seeking affordable, indulgent products.

The Cheesecake Factory At Home “Brown Bread” Slider Buns and Bakery Buns are available at Kroger stores nationwide for an SRP of $5.49.
