CERRITOS, CA — Capitol Food Company (CFC), a bakery and food ingredient company, has officially acquired Allied Sales and Distribution (ASD).

Allied Sales, a specialty bakery ingredient distributor and importer with an industrial focus, was officially acquired on Feb. 27 as CFC’s most recent bakery ingredients sector expansion. The merge was announced today, and the company says that it will strengthen CFC’s offerings in the food and functional food ingredients space.
“In order to continue to offer good service to customers and a broader product portfolio, the merging of the two companies will deliver a stronger product offering in the ever-growing market sectors, bakery and wholesome, nutritious food ingredients,” said Gregg Nevens of ASD. “The combined companies will continue to focus on the growing trends like whole grain, good-for-you and of course plant-based, healthy innovative ingredients.”
