CAMDEN, NJ — While the majority of its portfolio is made with colors derived from natural sources, The Campbell’s Co. announced its transition away from FD&C colors for the remainder of its products.

Campbell’s — parent company to brands including Snack Factory, Pepperidge Farm and Snyder’s of Hanover — will remove any FD&C colors by the second half of its 2026 fiscal year. The transition will update the formulation of Lance crackers to use naturally sourced colors, such as annatto and purple carrot juice concentrate.

Its regional snack brands — including Jay’s, O-Ke-Doke and Tom’s, and cookie brands such as Archway and Stella D’oro — will also omit the use of FD&C colors.

With changing regulations and shoppers increasingly prioritizing better-for-you options made with recognizable ingredients, this strategic move puts Campbell’s in a favorable position with consumers.
