C-suite recruit brings consumer health experience to J.M. Smucker

ORRVILLE, OH — Katie Williams, previous US chief marketing officer for consumer health company Haleon, is joining The J.M. Smucker Co.’s c-suite effective March 9.

As chief marketing officer, Williams will report to Mark Smucker, CEO and board chair of the global food company.

“We are thrilled to welcome Katie to the company,” Smucker said. “She brings deep expertise and a strong track record of building leading brands. I am confident she will help to advance our portfolio of brands forward and elevate our world-class marketing capabilities.”

At Haleon, Williams oversaw brand strategy for a broad portfolio of health brands. Earlier in her more than 20-year career, she held marketing leadership positions for Mondelez International and Kraft-Heinz.

“Throughout my career, I have relentlessly focused on driving sustainable brand growth and building high-performing teams,” Williams said. “I look forward to continuing this work at Smucker. I am honored to have this opportunity to serve as a steward for this incredible portfolio and to support this team’s continued success in building brands consumers love.”

Williams will succeed Gail Hollander, who announced her intent to retire from the company last year. Hollander will remain with the organization in an advisory role until April 30.
