Bühler Group leadership secured in 2026 succession plan

UZWIL, SWITZERLAND — To ensure continuity and stability for its employees, Bühler Group, known for its food processing equipment and technology, announced the upcoming succession plans for 2026.

The Board of Directors intends to appoint Samuel Schär as the new CEO as of January 2026. Having joined Bühler Group 20 years ago, Schär established the company’s Nanotechnology business unit and led the Grinding & Dispersing business area for several years. He joined the executive board in 2013 and successfully led the Advanced Materials segment for 10 years before taking over responsibility for the Global Services & Sales organization.

The Board will also propose Stefan Scheiber as the new chair at the next annual general meeting in February 2026. Scheiber maintained a 35-year career at Bühler and has been a member of management for two decades in various areas of responsibility. By the end of this year, he will have held the position of CEO for 10 years. Scheiber will succeed Calvin Grieder, who will step down after 25 formative years in positions such as CEO, board chair and board member.

The long-term succession plan will help maintain the company’s operations as an independent, globally active technology company.
