OVERLAND PARK, KS — During BEMA Convention 2023 held June 20-24, the association elected new board members and renewed terms for representatives on its executive committee and board.
BEMA elected Wendi Ebbing, VP of marketing for Bundy Baking Solutions; Jason Stricker, VP of sales and marketing for Shick Esteve; and Todd Oelschlager, senior director of sales for Corbion; to the board.
“BEMA’s three new board members, Wendi, Jason and Todd, represent years of expertise and relationship building in the baking industry,” said Kerwin Brown, president and CEO of BEMA. “I’ve known them all to demonstrate leadership through service, and that’s a key characteristic of our board.”
For the 2023-24 term, Mark Podl, CEO of Doran Scales, was named third vice chair for the executive committee. He joins Jim Warren, VP of Exact Mixing for Reading Bakery Systems and board chair; Clay Miller, president of Burford Corp. and first vice chair; and Jay Hardy, national sales director for J&K Ingredients and second vice chair.
“Mark is an excellent choice for the executive committee,” Warren said. “His knowledge of BEMA, along with his keen business acumen will benefit not only the executive committee, but the entire BEMA membership. As we look to the future, his mission-focused mindset will help drive the success of our initiatives.”
