INDIANAPOLIS — Kathy Sargent, VP of baking technology and commercialization for Bimbo Bakeries USA, is slated for the American Society of Baking (ASB)’s executive board as third vice chair for the 2025-26 term.
“We are excited to welcome Kathy Sargent to the executive committee and look forward to her leadership in the coming year,” said Kristen L. Spriggs, executive director of ASB.
Over the years, Sargent has contributed her time and expertise to the association, serving as a three-year member of ASB’s board of directors with a two-year tenure on the programming committees for BakingTECH. Her unique background as both a baker and supplier partner will help the association fulfill its commitment to excellence and progress.
Along with this appointment, ASB announced the nomination of Chad Larson, VP and COO of Mel-O-Cream Donuts Intl., to serve as the next third vice chair in February. He joined the board in 2025 as a director-at-large.
“We also enthusiastically anticipate Chad Larson’s nomination,” Spriggs said, “and the continued strength and diversity of our leadership team.”
