WASHINGTON, DC — The American Bakers Association (ABA) and Retail Bakers of America (RBA) joined forces with the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States Marine Corps.

“The baking industry was honored to come together in tribute to the brave men and women of the United States Marine Corps,” said Eric Dell, ABA president and CEO. “By raising their hands to bake and donate cakes for these events across the country, our members demonstrated their collective gratitude for the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s service members, and the baking community’s unwavering commitment to supporting our heroes.”

The milestone was honored through celebrations held in state capitol buildings across the country, recognizing the Corps and its centuries of service. ABA and RBA member companies donated cakes for the birthday celebrations to recognize representatives from the Marines, state governments and the baking industry.
