NASHVILLE, TN — From shifts in its leadership to the addition of a new bun line at its Pleasant Prairie, WI, facility, it’s been a big year for Crown Bakeries.

Continuing this thread of milestones is the baking company’s recent acquisition of Winter Park, FL-based Golden Dough Bakeries & Co.

“What began as Golden Dough’s vision packaged pastry is now evolving within the Crown Bakeries platform,” said Wil Torres, chief development officer of Crown Bakeries and founder of Golden Dough, via LinkedIn. “We are excited to join the Crown Bakeries family, combining our strengths to deliver even greater innovation and quality to our customers.”

Golden Dough manufactures an assortment of baked goods and personalized solutions for wholesale, retail and foodservice channels.

Business moves like this support Crown Bakeries’ operations, which currently span nine US facilities producing a range of baked goods including croissants, laminated dough, biscuits, buns and English muffins.
