CARMEL, IN — The American Society of Baking (ASB) is furthering its commitment to professional development with the rollout of its 2024-2025 Mentorship Program.
The five-month program — the only one of its kind in the baking industry — runs from October 2024-March 2025 and is designed to foster inclusion and support the professional growth of people at various stages of their careers. This has been in development for some time, with the association’s leaders noting mentorship as a key way to innovate while honoring ASB’s 100-year history.
Applications for mentors and mentees are open through Oct. 7. All applicants must have an active professional membership of ASB throughout the entirety of the mentorship program and be committed to completing training, surveys and milestone events. Those interested in mentoring must have at least three years of professional experience.
Industry members interested in participating can attend the ASB Mentoring Program Information Webinar, set for Sept. 25.
The program will also include an in-person meet-up opportunity at BakingTECH 2025, to be held Feb. 15-18 in Orlando.
