INDIANAPOLIS, IN — The American Society of Baking (ASB) is seeking nominations for subject matter experts to participate in the revision of the ANSI/ASB Z50.2 Standard for Bakery Equipment — Sanitation Requirements. This sub-committee will play a critical role in shaping the next version of this standard, which provides benchmarks for hygienic equipment design, construction and sanitation for the baking industry.

ASB is committed to a consensus-based standards development process and is seeking people with relevant expertise across a range of stakeholder groups, including equipment manufacturers, bakery operations, sanitation and food safety professionals, consultants, and academia.

Selected participants will provide technical input and industry perspective; reviewing and commenting on draft revisions; and supporting the development of a standard that meets the needs of the broader baking industry.

The nomination deadline is August 1. Sub-committee work is expected to begin in September. Visit the ASB website for more information and to submit a nomination.
