YAKIMA, WA — Archana Arunkumar, VP of technology products at Workday, has joined the board of directors for Kwik Lok Corporation, the global market leader in bag closures for bakery items.

Arunkumar is a global technology and product strategy executive with more than 20 years of experience. Throughout her career, she has scaled platforms for high growth and identified and developed new market opportunities. Arunkumar also advises CEOs, boards and venture capital funds with her keen insights.

“Arunkumar has experience in leading diverse, cross-functional teams to create quality products. She is a welcome addition to Kwik Lok’s global innovation work,” said Kimberly Paxton-Hagner, board chair at Kwik Lok.

Previously, Arunkumar was director of platform product at Dropbox, where she was responsible for setting strategic vision and improving the developer experience for the Dropbox platform. Additionally, Arunkumar led product and strategy for document and data platforms, as director of product management at Ellie Mae (now ICE Mortgage Technologies).

Arunkumar is a prominent thought leader for driving platform strategy and leading data strategies in compliance-heavy industries.

Arunkumar has created new revenue channels for businesses by building and launching new products through strategic partnerships and mergers and acquisitions. Arunkumar is also an executive sponsor for the many diversity, equity and inclusion programs throughout her tenure at various organizations.

Arunkumar holds an MBA from UC Davis; a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in computer science from California State University, East Bay; and a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from California State University, East Bay. Arunkumar lives with her husband and son in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she applies her passion for education and empowerment of youth as an active leader for the Boy Scouts of America.
