PENNSAUKEN, NJ — Global bakery and patisserie ingredients producer Puratos announced the promotion of Andy Brimacombe from president of Puratos USA to president of North American markets, effective Jan. 1.
The appointment includes his addition to the company’s group executive committee, where he will report to Pierre Tossut, Puratos’ CEO.
“Andy has proven himself as a high-impact leader with a customer-first approach and a strong track record in business transformation, people development and operational excellence,” Tossut said. “His appointment reflects our confidence in his ability to scale our vision and create long-term value for our customers, partners, and communities throughout the region.”
Brimacombe first joined Puratos in 2018 and was an instrumental figure in the development and opening of the company’s first US Puratos Bakery School in Pennsauken, NJ.
This move supports the company’s long-term succession plan, which includes the upcoming retirement of Paul Bakus, current president of Puratos North America, in February.
“We are deeply grateful to Paul for his outstanding leadership, strategic vision, and the culture of excellence he has cultivated across North America,” Tossut said. “His decision to retire is well-deserved, and his legacy will inspire us.”’
To ensure a smooth transition, Bakus and Brimacombe will work closely during the transition period. A search is now underway for a new Puratos USA president, a role the company expects to fill by early 2026.
