WASHINGTON, DC — The American Bakers Association (ABA) announced significant steps to deliver higher-level impact for upcoming industry events such as its Annual Convention, NextGenBaker Leadership Forum, NEXUS and Front Line Leadership Program.

As part of its updated strategic plan and recent reorganization, ABA has revitalized its events and programming division to deliver a more robust member experience. In keeping with this strategy, ABA opened registration for the 2025 Annual Convention months ahead of previous years, offering early access and event details for attendees — resulting in more than 100 industry leaders registering for the event.

“ABA continues to elevate the executive-level content we produce for the industry,” said Samantha Moore, ABA’s senior director of events and programming. “The Convention is the capstone of that programming, and we’re thrilled to already have more than 60 companies registered.”

The convention is one of many engaging ABA events, including the NextGenBaker Leadership Forum held in late September in Washington, DC. The forum is expected to have the highest attendance rate in years and will host Marc Koehler as the keynote speaker.

“We’ve been continually expanding this one-of-a-kind program to develop the next generation of industry leaders and position commercial baking as the destination workplace,” said Pippa O’Shea, ABA’s senior manager of events and programming. “Members value the on-the-ground experience in our nation’s capital and the opportunity to forge long-lasting relationships.”

“These enhancements are a critical part of our commitment to advancing the goals of ABA’s strategic plan and delivering a higher-level impact for the members.” — Eric Dell | president and CEO | American Bakers Association

During the same week as NextGenBaker, ABA is partnering with BEMA to host the second year of NEXUS, connecting bakers and suppliers in industry-focused conversations. ABA also expanded its Front Line Leadership Program, doubling the annual training events to provide highly specialized programs to line supervisors across the country.

“These enhancements are a critical part of our commitment to advancing the goals of ABA’s strategic plan and delivering a higher-level impact for the members,” said Eric Dell, president and CEO of ABA.
