WASHINGTON, DC — The 2026 ABA Annual Convention, set for April 19-23 in Colorado Springs, CO, is on its way, and with it comes a duo of keynote speakers.
The American Bakers Association (ABA) will host economist Andy Busch and Army Lt. Col. Dan Rooney, who will empower attendees with insights, best practices, global strategy, and leadership skills as they navigate an ever-changing industry.
“We are thrilled to welcome Andy Busch and Lieutenant Colonel Dan Rooney to the 2026 ABA Convention,” said Eric Dell, ABA president and CEO. “Each brings a unique perspective on leadership, innovation and global strategy that will inspire attendees to think differently about the future of baking and increase the value proposition of the event.”
During his opening keynote session, Geopolitics = Economy: Opportunities to Grow, Busch will explore how geopolitics has become the driving force of the global economy. With trade realignments and conflicts, as well as evolving immigration and tariff policies, companies must think differently about how they operate their businesses. He will share how today’s global landscape shapes how companies plan for growth and manage risk. Attendees will glean insights into how emerging technologies such as generative and agentic AI can help businesses to anticipate change, enhance competitiveness and seize new opportunities.
