ST. PAUL, MN — It has been 10 years since Dessert Holdings launched as a provider of premium desserts for retail and foodservice. Ahead of the official anniversary, the baking company will make a return to the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA) show, to be held June 1-3 in New Orleans, where it will showcase a dynamic range of premium desserts, including a new suite of artisan products.

Known for its use of clean ingredients, scratch-made recipes and thaw-and-serve format, Dessert Holdings encompasses six premium brands: Steven Charles, The Original Cakerie, Lawler’s Foods, Dianne’s Fine Desserts, Atlanta Cheesecake Co. and Kenny’s Great Pies.

“Over the past decade, Dessert Holdings has become the largest and fastest growing premium dessert platform in the US,” said Paul Lapadat, CEO of Dessert Holdings. “We have positioned ourselves as a ‘one-stop shop’ for retail and foodservice customers.”

After taking a hiatus from the IDDBA show, the company will be back in full force this year, revealing new branding that nods to the company’s pastry-chef-led culinary heritage.

“Our intentional presence at IDDBA
allows us to showcase our brands and our expanded innovative product portfolio of premium desserts.”

“Our intentional presence at IDDBA allows us to showcase our brands and our expanded innovative product portfolio of premium desserts,” Lapadat added.

Dessert Holdings’ IDDBA booth (#4625) will showcase the “Dessert Holdings Bakery,” featuring a central culinary island with not only product samples but also the expert pastry chefs who created them.  The team will also reveal a range of new offerings, including Strawberry Shortcake Cheesecake and Mango Passion Fruit Cheesecake from Dianne’s, several multi-layer bar cakes from The Original Cakerie — Mixed Berry Custard, Chantilly Cake and Key Lime Cake — and several other individual desserts.

“As we broaden our portfolio of premium desserts made with real ingredients, our brands cater to consumer demands,” said Susanne Ross, senior VP, culinary and R&D for Dessert Holdings. “That includes portion control, snacking and gluten-free, among others.”

Dessert Holdings’ products are made in nine highly automated, geographically diverse manufacturing facilities throughout North America. While the portfolio’s growth has been primarily through acquisitions over the past decade, the marketing refresh will tie all the brands and products together throughout the Dessert Holdings website and social channels, as well as its IDDBA booth.
