WASHINGTON DC — SNAC International, the leading international trade association for the snack industry, is enhancing its SNAC Cast podcast with “Bite-Sized Insights by SNAXPO21,” a collection of programming designed to keep professionals up-to-date with the evolving snack industry.

This series covers critical topics in four areas — global snack trends, sustainability, e-commerce and technical education — to connect listeners with some of the brightest minds in the industry and enhance their knowledge of what consumers will crave next.

SNAC Cast host Joanie Spencer, Commercial Baking editor-in-chief and director of content and partner for its parent company, Avant Food Media, chats with executives and founders of snack companies about their experiences developing innovative products, promoting gender equity, incorporating sustainability practices and more.

These insights are especially helpful as brands pivot to meet a different set of operational standards and consumer expectations established during the pandemic.

In the latest episode, “An Insider’s Perspective on Emerging Brands During and Post COVID,” Spencer visits with Julie Pryor, CEO of Emerge Network, a learning and networking community designed to help growing CPG manufacturers become healthier trading partners and scale sustainably in expanding distribution and growing e-commerce, operations and sales, as well as securing financing.

During COVID-19, consumers are demanding convenience and healthier foods and beverages, made with cleaner ingredients and yielding positive environmental and social impacts. Throughout the SNAC Cast episode, Pryor leads listeners on a journey through the ways emerging brands are using these trends to their advantage, as they work to meet the needs of conscious consumers and find more agile approaches to connecting with their target audiences.
