LEXINGTON, KY — Traditional categories are thriving, but they’re also shifting as CPG companies innovate beyond the norm. Crackers, for example, have been a relatively stable segment … until now.

WILDE, a protein snack brand founded in 2015 by Jason Wright, is disrupting the snacking world with protein-powered crackers made from unconventional ingredients. WILDE Protein Crackers start with all-natural chicken breast, chicken bone broth and real cheese, later oven-baked to deliver a classic cracker crunch and 12 grams of protein per serving.

“Crackers haven’t changed in decades,” Wright said. “We rebuilt them with chicken breast as the No. 1 ingredient. You get the crunch, the flavor, the snack you remember. But the protein is real, and it comes from food you’d cook with. No fillers, no protein powder, no compromise on what a cracker should taste like.”

The launch follows the company’s expansion into a new 130,000-square-foot, USDA-regulated facility. The new manufacturing space will expand production capacity sixfold, placing WILDE products into more than 30,000 doors nationwide.

WILDE Protein Crackers launched in four flavors: Classic Cheddar, Smoked Gouda, Buffalo Cheddar and Hot Honey. Consumers can find all varieties in 1.06-ounce singles and multi-packs as well as 9-ounce family-size bags at retailers nationwide, with broader retail availability planned for the summer.
