PMMI’s CPG NexGen Awards celebrate emerging packaging leaders

HEBRON, VA — A new distinction from PMMI, the association for packaging and processing technologies, is honoring the next generation of the packaging industry.

The association announced the launch of the CPG NexGen Awards, an annual recognition program celebrating 10 professionals under the age of 35 who work at CPG or end-user companies and are impacting the future of packaging and processing. Managers, supervisors, mentors, suppliers, customers, industry partners and teammates are eligible to submit individuals for the honor. The nomination period runs through July 17.

“The packaging and processing industry is being transformed by a new generation of talented professionals bringing fresh ideas, technical expertise and leadership to the table,” said Jim Pittas, president and CEO of PMMI. “The CPG NexGen Awards were created to celebrate these rising stars and recognize the incredible impact they’re already making across the industry.”

For participating companies, the CPG NexGen Awards also serve as a platform to showcase not only their investment in the next generation, but also their commitment to innovation and leadership development.

Award honorees will receive an exclusive experience at this year’s Pack Expo International event, to be held Oct. 18-21 in Chicago. This includes complimentary registration for the tradeshow, round-trip airfare and hotel accommodations, exclusive networking events and industry experiences, and a complimentary ticket to the PACK Gives Back fundraising event on Oct. 19.
