IDDBA appoints Chris Schwass interim CEO

MADISON, WI — The International Dairy Deli Bakery Association (IDDBA)’s board of directors announced that David Haaf has stepped down as CEO.

CFO Chris Schwass has been appointed acting CEO to ensure a seamless transition. Schwass brings almost 30 years of experience at IDDBA and will lead operations while the board initiates a comprehensive search for a permanent successor.

“We thank David for his service and wish him well in his future endeavors,” the association wrote via LinkedIn.

In the same announcement, the association also shared excitement for IDDBA 2026, which will be held June 7-9 in Orlando.

“Our commitment to serving our members remains our top priority, and we’re looking forward to an exciting show in Orlando this year,” the post continued.
