DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY — The next edition of interpack is mere months away, set for May 7-12 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Heading into the triennial event, the trade fair underscored Innovative Materials as one of the hot topics this year.

“The variety of materials and their applications at interpack is unique from anywhere in the world,” said Thomas Dohse, director of interpack. “By making Innovative Materials our hot topic, we are consciously placing the packaging materials sector at the strategic focus this year and consolidating developments from international markets.”

There will be plenty of packaging materials on display at this year’s event, ranging from plastic- and paper-based solutions to alternative and bio-based materials. Attendees can engage with the more than 1,000 packaging solutions, materials and aids manufacturing exhibiting at interpack 2026.

This hot topic will take center stage at the interpack Spotlight Forum on May 12, with programming soon to be announced.
