WASHINGTON, DC — Between a record-breaking convention and the culmination of another International Baking Industry Exposition, it’s been a big year for the American Bakers Association (ABA).

To carry on the momentum of a successful 2025, the association’s executive committee announced the five-year renewal of Eric Dell’s contract as ABA president and CEO.

“Eric’s contract renewal, especially given the length of five years, underscores the faith that the ABA board has in Eric’s leadership and team building,” said Bill Quigg, ABA chair and president of Richmond Baking. “It also highlights our commitment to our strategic direction, of which Eric has been a strong advocate.”

Since joining the organization three years ago, Dell has played a pivotal role in leading the professional team to help it meet the needs of ABA members. The team collectively brings 50 years of service experience, supporting their ability to advocate for the commercial baking industry.

“ABA’s strength comes from the partnership between our members, our board and our staff,” Quigg said. “Eric and the senior leadership team provide essential continuity and industry insight, while newer team members bring fresh ideas and specialized expertise. Together, this combination ensures ABA remains agile, forward-looking and focused on delivering meaningful value so that our members have the advocacy, resources and support they need to succeed in the year ahead.”

ABA strengthened its team this year with several strategic hires specifically roped in to help expand its capabilities and expertise. These investments, in turn, support the association’s members and the industry as a collective.

With 2026 on the horizon, Dell shared that ABA remains aligned with its strategic roadmap and is poised to sustain its support for the industry moving forward.

“Our ability to champion the industry and continuously enhance member services is a direct result of the ABA board’s leadership and the dedication of the professional team,” he said. “I’m honored to work alongside such a committed board and staff in service to the baking community.”
