BILLERICA, MA — Wilevco, a manufacturer of coating, frying, batter mixing, and heat-exchanging equipment for industrial food production, announced a partnership with BFR Systems, a French business that provides denesting, slicing, sandwich lines, and automation systems for pastry, bakery, and snack food production.

The cooperation will provide Wilevco with BFR’s denester, displayed at IBIE and EATS show earlier this year.

“We were originally looking for a denesting system to pair with our Spinning Disc Applicator that has become the standard for Texas Toast and garlic bread lines, and BFR has an excellent solution in that area,” said Robert Reiser, president of Wilevco. “Their bread denester technology solves a major bottleneck we’ve consistently heard from our garlic bread customers, and with this solution, they can now eliminate manual load steps, improve consistency and reduce labor.”

BFR Systems equipment is deployed among major industrial bakeries and food manufacturers across Europe. Through this partnership, Wilevco will provide local North American sales, technical support and integration assistance.

“The more we learned about their product line — slicing, sandwich assembly, automation — the more we knew we had a fit with a full range of solutions for our customers,” Reiser added. “We can now offer a more complete and higher-performance upstream-to-application solution for producers who are scaling and automating aggressively.”

The BFR denester is now available for testing across the US and Canada.
