ARLINGTON, VA — To bolster its governmental efforts, SNAC International appointed Matthew Grill as VP of advocacy.

“I am most excited about helping SNAC members navigate the complex food policy landscape and particularly the Make America Healthy Again agenda,” Grill said. “How SNAC members answer the policy challenges facing food and the production systems that bring our food onto grocery shelves and into our pantries will have huge implications across the economy, our health and our access to affordable food.”

The policy and government relations vet brings more than a decade of experience to the role. Grill most recently served as senior director of congressional relations for the National Pork Producers Council. His previous experience includes serving as director of federal relations at George Washington University and a six-year tenure on Capitol Hill.

In this role, Grill will work to build strategic relationships with the snack trade association’s membership and strengthening SNAC’s leadership role in Washington, DC.

“SNAC’s advocacy is more important than ever to ensure that we maintain a thriving snack industry that satisfies consumers,” he said.
