NEW YORK — In honor of National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day on Aug. 4, Tate’s Bake Shop is bringing consumers together with the unveiling of its first-ever Times Square billboard.
The billboard — also an homage to the Southampton, NY-based brand’s founding — features a “chocolate chip cookie drop,” a twist on the classic New Year’s Eve ball drop.
The signage showcases an integrated QR code campaign that offers onlookers a free bag of Tate’s signature thin-and-crispy cookies every hour. Consumers located outside of NYC can take part in the action by going online and signing up for the Mondelez International brand’s hourly cookie drops.
Tate’s is furthering its celebration of the baked goods-themed holiday with a 30% discount on all chocolate chip products via the Tate’s Bake Shop website. Consumers can use code COOKIES30 at checkout to receive the deal.
