SANTA MONICA, CA — The push for protein is here to stay. CPG companies are embracing the trend, and one notable example is Legendary Foods. The nutrition-forward snack brand known for its high-protein, low-sugar treats expanded its portfolio with Protein Donuts.

The 2-pack features 20 grams of protein, 4-5 grams of carbs and zero sugar, rounding out to 160 calories per package.

“At Legendary Foods, we’re breaking down the barriers between indulgence and nutrition,” said Ron Penna, founder of Legendary Foods. “We’ve reimagined donuts as a treat for the modern era. It’s more than just an indulgence; it’s a glimpse into the future of high-protein snacks.”

Protein Donuts are launching in four flavors: Chocolate Dipped, Cinnamon Crumble, Pink Sprinkle and Vanilla Glazed. The new product is crafted with Legendary Foods’ protein dough, offering a gluten-free, keto- and GLP-1-friendly breakfast or snack option.

“We’re making it possible for nutrition-conscious consumers to enjoy the donuts they’ve missed while reshaping what’s possible in functional snacking,” Penna said.

Legendary Foods’ Protein Donuts are available as 8- and 12-count packs for $29.99 and $38.99, respectively, and will hit specialty retail shelves at GNC and The Vitamin Shoppe in early August. Additional national retailer expansion will follow.
