HOUSTON — Abel & Schafer Group announced the appointment of Michael Pierce as president and CEO of its subsidiary Quality Bakery Products, Inc. (QBP), a Houston-based manufacturer of premium baked goods. He succeeds Christian Weihprecht, who has served as CEO since May 2022.
“Michael Pierce’s proven track record of operational excellence and strategic leadership makes him the ideal choice to lead QBP into its next phase of growth,” said Moritz Muller, chair of Abel & Shafer Group. “His expertise in implementing innovative operational strategies while maintaining the highest quality standards aligns perfectly with our company’s mission.”
Pierce brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience to the role, specifically in operations management for food manufacturing. Most recently, he worked as EVP of Dominion Food Group. Previously, Pierce worked as COO for Honeyville, Inc. and Thomas Foods International.
