AUSTIN, TX — Good Word, an emerging better-for-you snack brand, announced the expanded distribution of its Protein Cookies into more than 500 Whole Foods Market locations across the US.
“We’re not just selling cookies; we’re offering a delicious tool for wellness-minded consumers,” said Brad Snedden, founder of Good Word. “Our Whole Foods partnership allows us to bring our mission of convenient, nutritious snacking to protein enthusiasts nationwide.”
The brand was part of Whole Foods’ local vendor program in 2019. Good Word’s better-for-you cookies are made with clean-label ingredients such as cashew butter, collagen, minimally processed coconut sugar and almond flour. The dairy-, grain- and gluten-free product is currently available in Chocolate Chip and Peanut Butter Chip flavors and boasts 10 grams of protein per serving.
The Whole Foods expansion is the first step in the brand’s long-term growth strategy.
As seen in the October | Q4 2024 issue of Commercial Baking, cookies made with “free-from” formulations and premium ingredients are resonating with consumers.
