WASHINGTON, DC — Continuing its commitment to offering a higher-level impact for baking manufacturers, the American Bakers Association (ABA) announced its new partnership with Family Enterprise USA (FEUSA).
FEUSA is a non-partisan non-profit organization established in 2007 that supports family business creation, growth, viability and sustainability through advocacy efforts in Washington, DC. ABA’s partnership with the organization will deliver valuable services and resources to family-owned businesses within ABA’s membership to help navigate governance challenges.
“More than 70 percent of ABA’s baker member companies are privately owned by a family or individual,” said Ben Simpson, senior director of membership at ABA. “This partnership with FEUSA provides ABA baker and allied members with additional resources to stay informed on critical issues affecting family-owned businesses and participate in influential conversations shaping policy.”
Through this deal, ABA member companies will gain access to critical resources such as regular legislative updates and articles regarding governance, tax and trade policies, and succession planning issues.
ABA’s arrangement with FEUSA bolsters the association’s advocacy for its family-owned business members.
This partnership announcement follows the formation of the Congressional Baking Caucus, a bipartisan caucus centered on addressing key issues impacting the commercial baking industry.
