BOSTON — Fancypants, a crispy cookie producer that uses upcycled ingredients, announced the launch of its first gluten-free flavor, Chocolate Chip. The new offering is made with Belgian-style dark chocolate chips, rice flour and upcycled okara flour.

“We are excited to expand our offerings with a gluten-free option of our bestselling Fancypants cookie flavor, Chocolate Chip,” said Maura Duggan, founder and CEO of Fancypants. “We made sure that not only are these gluten-free cookies tasty but that they can be made in our nut-free facility and work for people who also have nut allergies.”

Other Fancypants cookie flavors include Birthday Cake, Salted Caramel, Mint Chocolate, Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin and S’mores.

The new gluten-free chocolate chip cookie is available for purchase online in 3- and 6-count packs for $19.99 and $34.99, respectively, and beginning July 12 at Pop Up Grocer for an SRP of $5.99 per bag.
