WASHINGTON DC — The American Bakers Association (ABA) has announced the promotions of Pippa O’Shea and Christina Donnelly and the hiring of Si Dong.
O’Shea has been promoted from education manager to senior manager, education and workforce programs. In this role, she provides ABA’s members with educational services to support ongoing learnings in the industry. O’Shea manages the association’s education programs and events such as the Baker Manufacturing Academy, Front Line Leadership Training and NextGenBaker Digital Digest. Additionally, she assists with enrolling and finding the correct educational program to support their teams.
Donnelly has been promoted to senior director, industry relations and strategic initiatives. As the staff liaison for ABA’s board of directors, NextGenBakers professional group and the Baking Industry Alliance, she focuses on bringing valuable programs and services to ABA’s stakeholders. This includes areas of executive leadership development, strategic partnerships and industry research.
Dong joined ABA in June 2023 as a controller. In this role, she manages the accounting operations for ABA, the International Baking Industry Exposition and the American Bakers Political Action Committee, which includes accounts payables and accounts receivables. Additional responsibilities include annual audits, payroll processing and benefits management, compliance and tax reporting, and serving as the onsite finance manager at IBIE.
