BATTLE CREEK, MI — Kellogg Company presented its donation of 30 million servings of food to Feeding America food banks across the country.
“While the holidays can be a joyful time for many, it can be especially difficult for people who struggle with food insecurity,” said Steve Cahillane, Kellogg Company chairman and CEO. “This donation is part of our Better Days Promise to advance sustainable and equitable access to food. We are committed to feeding 375 million people facing food insecurity and crisis by the end of 2030.”
The donations included Kellogg products such as Nutri-Grain bars, Cheez-It crackers and Eggo frozen products. The company is also encouraging customers to donate to Feeding America this holiday season.
“As families come together this holiday season, there will be millions unable to put food on their table,” said Lauren Biedron, VP of Corporate Partnerships, Feeding America. “The Feeding America nationwide network of 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and meal programs has been on the front lines responding to increased demand for food assistance this year. We are grateful to our partners, like Kellogg, for their commitment to fighting hunger and for helping to provide everyone an opportunity to give back.”
