LOS ANGELES — SusieCakes, a West Coast-based bakery, announced nationwide shipping for two of its best-selling cakes.
“The No. 1 question I get from our guests is ‘when will you start to ship your products?’ and we’re so thrilled that that day has finally come,” said Susan Sarich, founder and CEO of SusieCakes. “It means so much to us that we’ll be able to reach new guests and existing loyal fans who have moved away from California and take part in their celebrations, big and small.”
To celebrate the national expansion, the company is paying tribute to the bakery’s inspiration, Sarich’s grandmothers, with a “Grandma Hotline.”
As tribute to this, consumers can call the hotline to hear from grandmas on a variety of topics by dialing the toll-free number at 877-GRMA-911. Grandmas are also encouraged to leave their own words of wisdom through voicemails on the hotline. Over the next few weeks, SusieCakes will surprise certain fans who call the hotline with a cake for their next celebration.
Currently, fans can pick from two flavor options: Vanilla Celebration Cake and Old-Fashioned Chocolate Cake. The signature vanilla variety is a six-layer cake baked with sugar confetti and frosted with SusieBlue vanilla-flavored buttercream, while the chocolate is filled and frosted with chocolate buttercream frosting.
The cakes can be personalized with the recipient’s name or any message, and customers can select a specific delivery date. Each cake is $99, which includes overnight shipping.
