PHILADELPHIA — Cybake bakery software has arranged professional baker Luke Karl as its US business development representative. He is the second professional baker to join the company’s US team, just in time for Cybake’s debut at the International Baking Industry Exposition in September.
His responsibilities include spreading Cybake’s customer base past the 22 states the company has already established its cloud bakery software, used in retail and wholesale bakeries. In this role, he will also reduce its administrative workload and improve efficiency and sales.
“Luke Karl is now the second pro baker to join the Cybake USA team,” said Jane Tyler, managing director of Cybake. “It’s a hiring policy that’s working very well for us. Luke’s valuable experience means he sees where our users are coming from, and from pretty much every angle. It is a pleasure to welcome a colleague with so much real-world knowledge on board.”
Karl began in the data analytics side and switched to become an apprentice baker in 2009, leading to a 14-year career in the baking industry. He worked his way up to become VP at Chicago’s Dinkel’s Bakery, collecting baking qualifications along the way.
“I know first-hand how complex operating a bakery is in this market and I have taken on this position with Cybake because I believe in the business solutions that it provides,” Karl said. “I am looking forward to utilizing my knowledge to help bakery operators use Cybake to simplify and streamline their operations.”
