TORONTO — OREO, a Mondelez International brand, announced the launch of OREO Cakesters in Canada through a partnership with Toronto Maple Leafs player William Nylander.
“OREO fans have patiently waited for OREO Cakesters to come to Canada and we’re so excited to finally bring this indulgent soft-baked experience to Canadians,” said Chantal Butler, VP of marketing for Mondelez Canada. “The playful connection between the deliciously soft OREO Cakesters in partnership with ‘soft hands’ William Nylander to bring to life Willy Good Cake Shop makes this launch truly special.”
The Willy Good Cake Shop, located in Toronto’s Union Station, is offering free Cakesters through Jan. 31, while supplies last. Consumers who visit the pop-up also have a chance to win a range of prizes, including Maple Leafs tickets.
Canadian consumers can now find OREO Cakesters at retailers across Canada in two flavors, Original and Golden, in five two-count packs per box.
This move continues the Mondelez brand’s multi-year partnership with the team, announced fall 2024.
The soft-baked snack cake made its return in 2022 to retailers in the US. Since, Mondelez has released several Cakesters varieties such as Peanut Butter in 2024 and Golden this year.
