NUNDA, NY — Once Again, a better-for-you foods provider, acquired CA-based almond manufacturer Big Tree Organic Farms.

The acquisition will allow Once Again to increase product efficiency and reduce environmental impact as the company will be positioned close to the organic almond crop produced in the Central Valley.

“As we strive to be a one-stop shop for organic and natural, nut and seed products, the acquisition of Big Tree Organic Farms is big news for us,” said Bob Gelser, CEO of Once Again. “Being closer to the commodity in California, where 80 percent of the world’s almonds are grown, allows us to expand our supply chain and reduce our carbon footprint, all while meeting the growing demand for clean-ingredient almond products.”

Once Again will be able to boost the company’s portfolio to include certified non-GMO and certified organic almonds and almond flour while maintaining its commitment to offering consumers gluten-free, vegan and kosher products.

“We’re also excited for the opportunity to partner directly with Big Tree Organic Farms’ almond growers and support their great work and sustainable farming practices,” Gelser added.

Last month, Once Again expanded its product portfolio with the addition of gluten-free graham crackers in an assortment of flavors.
