PASADENA, CA — Following its second annual Summer Sidekick Tour, Nature’s Bakery, a Mars Inc. brand, is supporting families heading back to school through a partnership with Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson East.
As part of the “Back-to-School Squad,” the bakery brand’s ambassadors will surprise hundreds of families with $200 gift cards for school essentials and a month’s supply of snacks.
“When we dreamt up ways to elevate our mission to support families this season, Shawn, a mom of three preparing to send her oldest daughter to school for the first time, was the perfect partner to amplify our message and lead our nationwide Back-To-School Squad,” said Hanna Teklu, senior director of marketing communications at Nature’s Bakery. “We’re coming together to spread smiles and help parents thrive during a hectic time as they return to their school season routines.”
Nature’s Bakery will also host digital grocery giveaways for consumers nominated by the brand’s Instagram and TikTok followers. The bakery brand will reward participants with dozens of gift cards and soft-baked snacks.
In addition to backing families, Nature’s Bakery is also supporting teachers. The brand will select ten teachers to win a “Snack & Smile Station” of Nature’s Bakery products, stocking their classrooms throughout the entire school year.
