ATCHISON, KS — MGP Ingredients, a producer of food ingredient solutions, announced the hiring of Viswas Ghorpade, PhD, as VP of research and development.

Dr. Ghorpade brings more than 28 years of experience in the food science industry to the role, specializing in plant-based proteins and extraction processes. His career includes a 14-year tenure at Kellonova where he held various senior positions across multiple divisions.
Dr. Ghorpade’s expertise in the rapidly growing plant-based protein market aligns with MGP’s commitment to innovation and leadership in the food ingredients sector.
