PARK CITY, UT — Kodiak, a producer of high-protein whole grain breakfast products, has partnered with Joe Burrow, quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, to donate 30,000 total meals to students facing food insecurity.
On behalf of the Joe Burrow Foundation, Kodiak and Burrow will donate almost 10,000 meals in the three cities that inspired the football star, including Cincinnati and Athens, OH, and Baton Rouge, LA.
“This partnership with Kodiak provides a great opportunity for the Joe Burrow Foundation to expand our efforts in promoting healthy breakfast options,” Burrow said. “I’m grateful for Kodiak’s commitment to providing nutritious meals to families in each of the communities that I have called home.”
Power of Produce, an in-school program in Cincinnati that teaches students the importance of healthy eating, and Three O’Clock Project, a nonprofit organization in Baton Rouge that increases access to nutritious food for at-risk youth, are among the organizations that will receive donations from Kodiak.
The children will receive a variety of Kodiak products, including Power Cakes mix, Oatmeal and Flapjack Power Cups, and Breakfast and Granola Bars.
“We are very excited to be working with Joe and his nonprofit, as well as incredible organizations in Ohio and Louisiana, to provide kids with better-for-you breakfast options,” shared Val Oswalt, CEO of Kodiak. “Providing meals for children is going to help fuel their bodies and minds, which is incredibly important as they head back to school. Here at Kodiak, we believe that a hearty, warm breakfast sets you up for epic days and wild success!”
Earlier this year, Kodiak also partnered with Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce to donate 25,000 meals to children in the Kansas City, MO area.
