PLANO, TX — Frito-Lay has combined two of its favorite flavors in its new Doritos variety: Flamin’ Hot Cool Ranch.
The new mashup plays on the hot demand for spicy flavors to create a bold crunch. The Flamin’ Hot line started with the classic Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, of course, and is now being expanded once more. It joins the fiery family of Doritos Flamin’ Hot Nacho, a twist on its classic nacho cheese flavor, and Doritos Flamin’ Hot Limon.
“Doritos is no stranger to bold, whether it’s bold flavor, bold experiences or our bold fans that embody the Flamin’ Hot attitude,” said Caio Correa, senior director of marketing, Frito-Lay North America. “With new Doritos Flamin’ Hot Cool Ranch, we took a legacy flavor that has been beloved for generations and injected it with a spicy new edge to bring consumers a tasting experience that’s truly [elevated].”
Doritos Cool Ranch has been a longtime staple snack in chip-lovers’ pantries around the world. In 2020, the chip variety was revamped to have more cool seasoning.
The chips will launch just in time for 2022 and can be found on store shelves at retailers nationwide. The product is available in 9.25-oz. bags for $4.79 and 2.75-oz. bags for $2.19.
