WASHINGTON D.C. — Just three days into the start of the new year, Eric Dell has officially begun his term as president and CEO of the American Bakers Association (ABA).
In a video message released by ABA, Dell shared some opening remarks to members of the organization. He shared his enthusiasm for meeting members throughout 2023 and at the organization’s Convention, set to take place March 26-29 in Amelia Island, FL.
Dell was named the successor to the role held previously by Robb MacKie in early November 2022. Prior to stepping into the leadership role at ABA, he served for 10 years at the National Automatic Merchandising Association. Following a review of 67 qualified candidates, Dell was unanimously selected by ABA’s Search Committee, headed by board chair Cordia Harrington.

Hi, I’m Eric Dell and I’m excited to be the new President and CEO of the American Bakers Association.
I have received so many warm welcomes already from many of the members, and I’ll be visiting with members throughout the course of the entire year in 2023.
If I don’t see you over the course of the first couple of months, I will look forward to seeing you at Convention.
If you don’t hear me talking a lot, it’s because I’ll be listening a lot. I’m going to listen to the industry to learn the industry so that I can best serve the industry and move the industry forward with the competent and professional ABA staff.
