NEW YORK — Enlightened, a better-for-you (BFY) dessert brand specializing in low-sugar treats, has expanded its frozen mini cheesecake portfolio with the launch of its new Greek yogurt cheesecakes.
The Greek yogurt-based cheesecake is on top of a graham cracker crust and topped with a dollop of whipped cream. The treats are available in two flavors, Original and Dark Chocolate, and they draw upon New York-style cheesecake techniques to create a smooth and creamy texture. The creations also contain up to 50% less sugar than a serving of traditional cheesecake.
“We’re so excited to build upon our existing cheesecake line with the addition of Greek yogurt, a key ingredient also included in two of our new Sundae Cone flavors,” said Michael Shoretz, Enlightened’s CEO and founder. “Consumers love Greek yogurt for its protein and probiotics. We found that incorporating Greek yogurt adds richness and creaminess to our cheesecakes, and we think it’ll delight our fans.”
It’s an extension of the cheesecake line the brand unveiled in 2020 and is the latest of their many low-sugar products including cookies and ice cream.
The new Greek yogurt cheesecakes can be found on the brand’s website in addition to in Lowes Foods, United Supermarkets, Food City and HEB. Each box comes with two mini cheesecakes and have a MSRP of $5.99.
