ANN ARBOR, MI — The Greater Goods Snacking Co., a clean label snack brand, has debuted in the US market with three better-for-you product lines. The brand is known and produced in India as She Made Foods and co-founded by chief product officer Sujatha Duvvuri.
“Upon graduating from the University of Michigan, I was pregnant and shopping the grocery store aisles of Ann Arbor when I realized there were no clean label, nutritious products available to feed my son,” said Anirudh Duvvuri, the company’s COO. “I started making my own snacks and once I moved back to India, I went into business to provide products that moms can trust. Launching our products in the US as Greater Goods has always been our goal because, after all, the idea for our entire brand was formed in Ann Arbor.”
In its US launch, Greater Goods offers crackers, cookies and biscotti. The organic products are almond flour-based, paleo-friendly, plant-based, vegan, and grain- and gluten-free. With these products, the brand will be the only in the US to offer certified organic almond flour-based products along with the first commercially available grain-free biscotti.
The mission-driven brand is committed to driving social change. Greater Goods ensures that 72% of its workforce in India is composed of women, a sharp contrast to the nation’s 19% female labor participation rate.
“We are thrilled to share our delicious, nourishing snacks with the US market and hope that with every purchase, consumers know that they, too, are contributing to the greater good,” Duvvuri said. “Investing in our workforce is the differentiator between merely selling a product and standing for something greater.”
Greater Goods’ snacks are currently available on the brand’s website and will soon be available on Amazon.com and in select retailers.
