IRVINE, CA — In the latest innovation from Taco Bell’s Test Kitchen, Cheez-It has teamed up with the fast food chain for a limited-time test of the Big Cheez-It Tostada and Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme.

“We’re thrilled about this new concept with Cheez-It, which gives our fans the chance to experience the real cheese and crunch they love from both of our brands in a whole new way,” said Liz Matthews, Taco Bell’s chief food innovation officer.

In place of a traditional tostada, the base is a Cheez-It blown up 16 times its original size. This mega-version of the snack cracker is then topped with seasoned beef, reduced-fat sour cream, diced tomatoes, lettuce and shredded cheddar cheese.

Similar to a regular Crunchwrap, the tostada shell is swapped with the mega Cheez-it and topped with the product’s original ingredients — including seasoned beef, nacho cheese sauce, sour cream and tomatoes — before being wrapped in a tortilla.

“This partnership is a true testament to Cheez-It’s continued success and commitment to innovation,” said Stefanie Miller, president, Away From Home, Kellogg Company. “We’re excited to incorporate Cheez-It into Taco Bell favorites and deliver customers a cheesy twist on the chain’s go-to menu staples.”

Southern California customers can try the Big Cheez-It Tostada and Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme at one Irvine, CA Taco Bell location for $2.49 and $4.29, respectively. The limited-time product is available for the next two weeks while supplies last.
