OVERLAND PARK, KS — BEMA announced Mike Gude as the 2024 recipient of the association’s Fred Springer Lifetime Achievement Award.
Gude, a 43-year member of the commercial baking industry, serves as group publisher for several Sosland Publishing titles. He was BEMA chair in 1993 and has since served as a board member of the association.
The Lifetime Achievement Award, established in 2001, is given only on special occasions to a BEMA member who has made significant contributions to the association and baking industry. In 2018, the award was renamed after Springer to honor his lifelong contributions to BEMA and the industry.
The award will be presented during this year’s BEMA Convention, which will be held June 28 – July 2 in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
BEMA most recently presented the award to DJ Lecrone, CEO of Lematic, in 2023.
