OVERLAND PARK, KS — As part of BEMA’s annual convention, taking place June 28 – July 2 in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, the association will continue its partnership with Arizona State University (ASU) to host three data-driven sessions targeting current focus topics in advanced manufacturing for the Workforce Edition 2024.

The Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, home to ASU’s School of Manufacturing Systems and Networks and the largest, most comprehensive engineering program in the US, will deliver these sessions.

“The Workforce Edition programming offers both virtual and in-person participants incredible education options along with a taste of convention for those who aren’t able to attend in person,” said Kerwin Brown, president and CEO of BEMA. “This collaboration will offer participants access to some of the brightest scholars in manufacturing education, sharing research and information that has the power to transform the future of the industry.”

The Workforce Edition Sessions include:

Industrial Data Flow from Machine Assets: A Key Enabler of Digital Twins in Manufacturing — presented by Prof. Binil Starly

Knowledge Graphs: An Enabler of Supplier Discoverability and Enabling Digital Supply Chains — presented by Prof. Farhad Ameri

Building Factory Dashboards for Industrial Internet of Things — presented by Prof. Binil Starly

This portion of the BEMA Convention will take place virtually on June 28. Virtual Workforce participants are encouraged to follow along with BEMA Live!, set for June 29 – June 30, from their preferred remote location. Participants will be able to see keynote speaker Alex Weber and the Industry Insight sessions from BEMA Live!. In-person attendees can also participate in Workforce Edition programming onsite at the Convention hotel.
