RENO, NV — Nature’s Bakery, producer of Fig Bars and other soft-baked snacks, announced the launch of Baked-Ins, the brand’s first organic baked snack bar, featuring real fruits and veggies. As daily snacking becomes more prevalent along with increased health-and-wellness awareness, Baked-Ins address these consumer needs by combining sweet potato, kale, carrot and apple into a better-for-you snack inspired by home-baked favorites. Varieties include Banana Chocolate Chip Bread and Chocolate Oat Loaf. Both flavors offer 3g of fiber and 9g of whole grains to appeal to health-conscious families.
A Snacking Motivations & Attitudes report from Mintel indicated 66% of consumers seek more healthy snacking options. The research firm’s recent Food and Drink report also noted 33% of parents are looking for more organic options.

Nature’s Bakery aims to meet the needs of those consumers who are increasingly looking for better-for-you snacks that do not compromise on taste, the company noted. Baked-Ins are formulated with fruits, vegetables and whole grain oats into soft-baked goods.
In its own proprietary research, a Nature’s Bakery consumer survey revealed 82% of respondents believe that the addition of organic fruits and veggies — even if they can’t see or taste them — is a way to make snacking more nutritious and purposeful, and Baked-Ins achieve these preferences in a convenient anytime snack.
“There’s something about classic baked goods that provides us with a sense of comfort,” said Vilma Livas, Nature’s Bakery CMO. “When developing Baked-Ins, we wanted to make sure we packed nature’s greatest ingredients into every bite without compromising the familiar tastes we crave. It’s a win for parents everywhere, and the magic is that you can’t even taste the secret goodness; that’s what makes these snacks seriously good.”
