WASHINGTON, DC — To handle the increasingly complex regulatory environment in the commercial baking industry, American Bakers Association (ABA) welcomed Campbell Genn as senior director of government relations.
Genn joins ABA from The Sugar Association, where she served as senior director of nutrition policy. Prior to that, she advised on the USDA’s nutrient assistance programs.
“We are excited to bring on a new team member with a knowledge base and understanding that will further our advocacy and efforts to improve food security in all communities.” — Rasma Zvaners | VP of government relations | American Bakers Association
Genn will use her expertise in food and agricultural issues, regulatory processes and executive branch dynamics to assist Rasma Zvaners, VP of government relations at ABA. In this role, she will work to address key nutrition policy-related initiatives and collaborate with the association’s food technical and regulatory affairs and commodities and agriculture professionals.
“Campbell’s extensive expertise on the nutrition front combined with four years of experience working in the USDA Secretary’s office will provide invaluable insight for our members and further ABA’s priorities,” Zvaners said. “We are excited to bring on a new team member with a knowledge base and understanding that will further our advocacy and efforts to improve food security in all communities.”
Earlier this year, ABA brought Bill Dumais III on as state affairs manager.
