ROBESONIA, PA — Reading Bakery Systems (RBS), one of the world’s leading manufacturers of snack production systems, has named Nico Roesler as North American pretzel and snack equipment sales manager.
Since 2008, Joanie Spencer has covered the retail and wholesale sides of the baking industry.
Serving associations such as the American Society of Baking (ASB) and BEMA, Joanie is also in demand as an industry presenter on bakery operations and trends. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Rockhurst University and a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri.
When she’s not running or playing soccer, Joanie spends her time with her husband and 11-year-old son.

In his new role, Roesler will be responsible for direct sales efforts and project support with existing and future RBS customers in North America. “We are excited to welcome Nico to the RBS family,” said Shawn Moye, VP of sales for RB. “He is well‐known in the baking industry and brings an interdisciplinary skill set that will expand the capabilities of our global sales team. Roesler most recently worked for Sosland Publishing, where he served in sales and managing editor roles for Baking & Snack and IBIE titles. Active in the baking industry, he served on the ASB Young Professionals Task Force in 2020. Prior to joining Sosland, Roesler served as an editor and community reporter for the Lawrence Journal-World and as a court reporter for the Sante Fe New Mexican. He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Kansas.
