AUSTIN, TX — Stroop Club is making history in the wafer cookie sector with the launch of the world’s first certified organic, vegan and gluten-free stroopwafel.

Stroopwafels, which originated in the Netherlands, are traditionally made with butter, eggs and wheat. Stroop Club is reimagining the treat by reformulating to exclude animal-derived and gluten-containing ingredients without compromising taste, texture or authenticity.

“Most ‘better-for-you’ claims in food are self-declared,” said Chantal Piët, founder and CEO of Stroop Club. “We chose the harder route: certification. If we put a label on our packaging, it has to be measurable, traceable and verified.”

With growing consumer requests for products that meet multiple dietary requirements, such as plant-based and gluten-free products, Stroop Club is meeting demand while ensuring its products are made using pure, ethically sourced and organic ingredients.

In addition to the product launch, Stroop Club is embedding environmental responsibility into its business model by committing 1% of annual revenue to verified environmental organizations.
